Assam Gramin Vikash Bank Details:
Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) was a regional rural bank in India that operated in the state of Assam. However, please note that the information I have is up to September 2021, and there may have been some changes since then. It's always a good idea to verify the latest information from reliable sources.
AGVB was established on 12th January 2006, following the amalgamation of two regional rural banks, namely Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank and Lakhimi Gaonlia Bank. The bank was sponsored by the United Bank of India.
As a regional rural bank, AGVB primarily focused on providing banking services to the rural and semi-urban areas of Assam. It aimed to promote financial inclusion and support the agricultural and rural development in the state. The bank offered a range of banking products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, loans, and various government-sponsored schemes.
AGVB operated through a network of branches spread across different districts of Assam. It provided banking services to farmers, rural artisans, small businesses, and individuals in the rural and semi-urban areas. The bank also participated in various government initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (financial inclusion program), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (microfinance scheme), and other social security schemes.
However, it's important to note that the Indian banking sector has been subject to changes and reforms over time. Banks undergo mergers, acquisitions, and other restructuring processes, which may result in changes to their operations and structure. Therefore, I recommend checking with the latest sources or contacting the concerned authorities for the most up-to-date information on Assam Gramin Vikash Bank.
